Business Need/Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a collaborative and innovative Sr. BI Architect to meet a rapidly growing demand for curated data. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the value that our team provides for its business partners. This role will be responsible for the design, development, and support of the company’s BI services including sophisticated BI solutions that enable our business partners to support tactical and strategic decision making. You will be joining a team of highly skilled and collaborative BI developers that operate under an Agile BI delivery methodology.
We have one of the largest, complex, and sophisticated BI footprints in the PNW region.
Objectives & Measurement – Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand complex business requirements and translate into technical specifications
  • Use highest level of subject matter expertise to provide decisions on architecture, data modeling, data sourcing, and data quality
  • Document specifications for BI solutions, platform architecture, and other artifacts
  • Manage release deployments and performance testing
  • Evaluate and optimize existing BI systems
  • Monitor and support BI database servers and processes
  • Mentor remotely located BI teammates
  • Provide excellent end user support

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or specialized training/certification or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer, Data Engineer and/or Architect
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building and implementing BI solutions with Microsoft technologies including: Visual Studio 2013 or newer, Power Shell, MS SQL Server 2012 or newer, SSIS
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of data modeling, ETL and data architecture, including SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, NoSQL, and JSON
  • Experience delivering BI solutions within Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Experience working with source code management tools such as TFVC and Git
  • Experience developing with and supporting Azure services
  • Experience supporting Oracle Golden Gate and SharePoint integrations
  • Familiarity with SSAS
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States
