Security Engineer

Job Overview:
Our innovative client will be hiring a Security Engineer to join their Core Technology team.  This role is responsible for the operation of security infrastructure. This position works collaboratively with staff and members of the Systems Engineering team to ensure digital systems, software and workflows follow best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy and operate on-prem and Azure cloud information security infrastructure.
• Conduct threat assessments and risk analyses.
• Develop automations and integrations between production systems and security infrastructure.
• Lead evaluation and selection of information security tools and services.
• Participate in planning and execution of security awareness campaigns and incident drills.
• Participate in development of information security policies.
• Prepare and document procedures for the safe handling of sensitive or untrusted data.
• Track and report security-related metrics.
• Document and audit attack surfaces, threat landscape and risk reduction measures.

How do you explain complex technical security information to non-technical people?
 
Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in enterprise security engineering, network and data security.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, SSO, IDS, firewalls, log management and network security monitoring software.
• Scripting experience with Python, Powershell or Ruby
• Knowledge of MacOS, Windows, Linux and BSD operating systems.

 
Preferred:

• Experience with zero trust network architecture
• Experience working in media and entertainment
• Azure Cloud knowledge
