Our client will be hiring a SAP Business Systems Analyst with PP and QM configuration experience. 

This position is onsite 2-3 days per week in the Portland area.  Work with a team of 4 SAP BSAs (FI, SD, ABAP/PI, MES) and report to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Applications. 
They are expanding manufacturing.  As part of the service organization, this group is an internal provider delivering end to end IT services to company affiliates worldwide. Our mission as a Shared Services Center (SSC) North America is to support multiple regional business units with approx.  1,500 users. Our services include Client Support/Helpdesk, Enterprise Application Management, IT Project Management Office and Class A Data Center Operations. This position is part of the Digital Factory team within Enterprise Applications.  

The primary function of this role is the service delivery and application support handling for our Digital Factory and Manufacturing Operations, with hands on functional focus on our core SAP ERP (ECC6), Camstar/Siemens MES application and their integration.   Our client is evaluating the path to implement S4/HANA globally in the future. 

  • SAP PP and QM configuration.  Custom processes, especially with QM.  PP is out of the box.
  • High volume/frequency MES/SAP integrations. 
  • Read and debug code (PP is critical, QM is preferred))
  • Subject Matter Expert/Consulting: Local expert for SAP PP/QM/MM.  Consults stakeholders on all levels from end users to senior management. Guides business units through their ERP-related inquiries and requests. Activities include training/knowledge transfer, mentorship for coworkers, aligning business objectives with IT capabilities.  Consults with SAP CoE in Berlin and other manufacturing sites on global topics and for expertise to support US requests. 
  • Solution provider: Provides state-of-the-art solutions in order to optimize operations and support business goals. Establishes business cases, concepts and solution design and estimates, in collaboration with counterparts of the global SAP Center of Expertise and other IT groups (e.g. take part in IT estimations, feasibility studies, identify and evaluate solutions, help define system strategy and implementation roadmaps). Align local requirements with corporate standards and solution, ensure fulfillment of local requirements in global templates.
  • Project- and change request implementation: Ensures high quality implementation of change- and project requests within budget and schedule in collaboration with the global SAP module- and process owners, as well as local internal and external resources. Provides hands-on expertise for functional and technical activities related to PP, QM, MM and integration to FI/CO, SD, PS and PM processes. Participate in corporate release planning, project portfolio- and forecasting process. Participate in upcoming global S4/Hana implementation project.
  • Support daily operations: Manages all aspects of existing SAP setup for our manufacturing operations, including incident- and problem handling, troubleshooting, monitoring, short- and long-term fixes. Ensures customer-, legal and internal specifications and requirements are met at all times. Act as the first point of contact for key- and end users, as well as for management. Keeps documentation up to date.

Learn internal processes and take over support, the SAP system has been in place for 20 years. 
They will be migrating to S4/HANA, so this position will help that rollout.  

  • SAP Business Systems Analyst with 5+ years of experience.
  • Configuration experience with SAP modules PP & QM.
  • At least 2 full lifecycle implementations and experience supporting midsize operations
  • Ability to read and debug ABAP code and custom SAP enhancements, BADI’s, user-exits, interfaces


  • Understanding of middleware and integration concepts, API’s, SAP BAPIs, RFCs, IDOCs, Proxy Objects, SAP PI/PO functions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems or related engineering discipline. 
  • Strong understanding of production planning and -execution processes, including MRP, S&OP, procurement, intercompany planning
  • Business Process Modelling techniques and related tools (e.g. Visio or Inubit)
  • Strong understanding of software life cycle and system implementation methodologies
  • Experience with quality management systems and concepts (e.g. Six Sigma, CAPA)
  • Ability to lead and manage projects and diverse teams
  • Experience with product development-, manufacturing- and supply chain concepts (e.g. KANBAN, LEAN) 
  • Experience supporting systems and processes in a global supply chain with distributed IT teams
  • Experience in Quality Systems and Document Management
  • APICS certification
  • Software verification/validation background
  • Understanding of industry standards such as HIPAA, ISO 9001, 13485, 14001, FDA CFR Part 11

Travel Requirements:
Must be able to travel internationally and domestically, less than 10% of the time.
