Summary
Support, maintain and monitor IT network infrastructure with critical reliability and maximum uptime. Responsible for support and maintenance of existing DMZ, LAN, WAN, VLAN Trunking, VPN, Firewalls, Switches and Routers.
Assists with desktop support as needed. Works closely with help desk to support desktop users with specific applications and connections.

Essential Functions

  • Proactively manages the services notes above to minimize impact during production time. Coordinate change planning and formal change control process to systems in order to eliminate customer impact and ensure availability.
  • Ongoing review of Club’s switches, routers, servers and infrastructure; identifying opportunities and recommending solutions that will enhance business processes.
  • Installs, configures and tests new equipment across Oregon and Idaho.
  • Works closely with help desk support and customers to assist troubleshooting applications and PC hardware, including on call support as needed.
  • Performs advanced monitoring and reporting related to network systems. Reviews network utilization and performance trends to suggest future requirements to maintain acceptable performance levels, accommodate traffic growth and ensure that the transport of data and voice traffic information traveling across networks reaches its destination without interruption of service.
  • Perform critical maintenance and plan for disaster recovery.
  • Maintain and test system back-ups for integrity.
  • Manage and create certificates of authority.
  • Maintain disaster recovery documentation and periodic testing of redundancy.

 
Secondary Functions

  • Back up support for telecommunications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 
Education / Skills / Experience

  • 3+ years of supporting, maintaining and configuring DMZ, LAN, WAN, VLAN Trunking, VPN, Firewalls, Radius, SSL Certificates, Switches and routers.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows professional desktops, windows server 2012-2016, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and Chrome browsers.
  • Experience with Palo Alto HA firewalls preferred.
  • Experience with Cisco switches preferred.
  • Experience with Fortinet products preferred.
  • Strong customer service, organizational and documentation skills required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.

 
Other Position Conditions and/or Physical Demands

  • Office environment- Physical attendance on the job site is an essential job duty.
  • Some travel may be required
