Lead Software DevOps Engineer

Overview:

• Our Consulting client will be hiring a Lead Software Engineer with expertise in Java, .NET, or Node.js, and Cloud-based development.
• This position will build out a new DevOps Engineering practice and plays a key role in delivering software.
• Participate in all project phases (from inception to delivery) including hands-on throughout project lifecycle.
• Support external Customer teams, helping clients improve their ability to leverage technology and run successful projects.
• The right candidate has the ability to define work and describe it to others using industry standard technology and processes.
• You are comfortable estimating and documenting large bodies of work, so that others may participate.
• You are able to deliver the solutions that you’re designing.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and create solutions with external clients, provide Consulting expertise.   
  Full Stack Development using .NET, Java, or Node.
• Lead a team of Software developers and DevOps Engineers.
• Research/author estimates to cover all phases of a software project (discovery to delivery/post support)
• Deliver project outcomes by participating in projects and delivering exceptional work
• A strong technical communicator who can speak to all project roles (written/visual documentation)
• Capable of supporting teams and enabling team functions (ie. QA, Dev, PM, UX).
• Comfortable leading meetings, driving customer communication, and delivering periodic demos.
• A strong learner with the ability to be pragmatic/disciplined in the application of technology

 
Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Software Engineering experience, using .NET, Java, or Node.
• Cloud-based development using AWS, Azure, or GCP. 
• Ability to create/revise software estimates.
• Experience leading software teams.
• Experience working with stakeholders.

 
Preferred:

• Experience with CI/CD platforms like: Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, Azure DevOps, Circle CI, etc.
