Job Overview:
Our manufacturing client will be hiring an Infrastructure Engineer with Windows Server administration and scripting or programming skills.
 
This role will be part of the IT Infrastructure team. Expect to assist the System Architect in building and upgrading a safe and secure IT infrastructure. We're looking for Engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, and machine virtualization.
 
Expect to work onsite 3 days per week in NW Portland.
 
Responsibilities

• Management of networks, virtualization, storage/backup, servers, and IT security.
• Infrastructure product owner and subject matter expert
• Troubleshoot and resolve errors or problems with application servers
• Facilitate identification and agreement on software requirements/specifications through interactive sessions with system operators
• Report on progress against project timelines
• Develop user and system documentation of computer systems
• Train users on systems
• Contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement teams

 
Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Windows Server administration experience. 
• Experience managing networks, virtualization, storage/backup, servers, and IT security.
• Experience building systems that meet requirements around monitoring, stability, and scalability.

Preferred:

• Strong project management skills
• Preferred previous experience in manufacturing
• Linux server administration
• C# programming experience.
• PL/SQL (preferred) or T-SQL programming experience.
