Description
 
The total number of known medium-, critical, and high-risk firmware vulnerabilities tracked by our company has more than quadrupled in less than five years. We are a private company in growth mode while developing new products to address these challenges.
 
We are seeking a DevOps engineer to streamline our use of our IT resources for development and deployment of a new product to AWS, as well as to provide internal support for processes related to our firmware development.
 
Note that responsibilities will evolve over time, and adaptability is a key requirement for this position.
 
Location: Hybrid on/off site in Beaverton, OR
 
 
Responsibilities
 

  • Configuration and improvement of automated build testing and integration (CI/CD)
  • Documenting CI/CD processes, and educating team members on how processes work
  • Monitoring system metrics such as queue depth
  • Providing assistance to IT with automation of IT related tasks
  • Setting up tools and required infrastructure
  • Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
  • Incidence management and root cause analysis
  • Providing support to various teams as needed
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation

 
 
Knowledge & Skills
 

  • CI/CD through Jenkins
  • Setting up and maintaining Jenkins servers
  • Automating deployments
  • Familiarity with Docker, Docker Compose
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and explore new technologies
  • GitHub and SVN
  • Testing tools such as Sonarqube and Nexus
  • AWS experience
  • Scripting knowledge: Microsoft Powershell, JavaScript, Python, BASH
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • VMWare vSphere experience
  • Nuget and setting up Nuget servers
  • Jira and Confluence use
  • Microservices / microservice architecture
  • Terraform
  • Kubernetes / EKS
  • Other common microservice tools
