.NET/AWS Software Engineer

Overview:
Our SaaS product client will be hiring a Senior .NET Software Engineer with (AWS serverless) experience. We are looking for someone who has strong initiative and not afraid to ask for help.

100% REMOTE expectation (US only).

This role is part of the Agile/Scrum SaaS Solutions Engineering team and contributes primarily to an AWS cloud-based central authentication platform. This role reports to an Engineering Manager and has no direct reports.

Responsibilities:

• Works in a variety of languages and frameworks, including but not limited to .NET, C#, SQL, Javascript, Typescript, React, & Python
• Support and maintain primarily backend services that handle high volume traffic such as RESTful API’s, SQL databases and stored procedures, and AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, SNS, CloudFormation, and more.
• Understands and makes well-reasoned design decisions on large or complex product features
• Stays informed about service design, high-caliber coding practices, and champions decisions that will scale and make a difference in the long term
• Responsible for entire lifecycle of projects: design, development, testing, release, bug fixes, and improvements
• Identifies and incorporates security requirements in the software development lifecycle process
• Accurately estimates individual tasks and contributes to team estimation of project delivery
• Develops a high level understanding of several features with deep expertise in at least one
• Effectively and proactively communicates to both share and solicit information needed to complete project work
• Completes code reviews and PR reviews
• Participates in security reviews as needed to facilitate technical discovery
• Provides on-call support as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of software development experience with C# and .NET
• Experience in complex AWS systems with an emphasis on Serverless
• Experience with RESTful API design and development
• SQL Server database development, writing T-SQL code, stored procedures
• Experience building scalable cloud services

Preferred:

• 3 ^rd party integration experience, CMS, documentation reading
• Experience with AWS services like Lambda, Step Functions, SNS, CloudFormation, and more.
• Networking knowledge or industry experience
• Experience shipping product as part of an Agile team
• Strong desire to help a successful company scale existing cloud-based services while also being a significant contributor to the development of new products
• Experience developing with analytics, reporting and data visualization technologies
• Experience with system design and architecture
• Experience with data stream processing and message queues
