SAS/Collibra Administrator

Overview:

Our client will be hiring a SAS/Collibra Administrator with Cloud administration experience (Azure preferred) for a 6 month Contract.

This position can be 100% REMOTE (U.S. only) with a preference for some onsite work in Oregon.

Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining the Business Intelligence (SAS) AND Collibra Data Governance platform.
• This includes installing the SAS metadata server hot fixes, upgrades, Power-BI report server and Bi-Services, Collibra Edge server, upgrading job server environments, and troubleshooting catalog connections to databases.
• Monitoring system performance, applying patches and updates, and ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Handling user and user group onboarding, including advising on privileges to manage security and license costs.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in SAS /Collibra
• 2 years of Azure cloud administration (AWS could work)
• Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix systems.

Preferred:

• Networking: Understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC, VPN, DNS, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc., for automation tasks.
• Security: Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Familiarity with cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions.
