Overview :
Our client will be hiring a Lab Technician with experience handling chemicals in an industrial environment. This position works directly with R&D Engineers and Scientists for new product introduction, providing testing support, equipment maintenance, and organization of engineering labs. We are looking for experience working with acids and bases while wearing gloves and safety glasses.
This position is 100% onsite in Wilsonville, Oregon.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble test fixtures, test stands, and battery modules following directions from engineers.
- Perform maintenance of and repairs to test fixtures, test stands and lab equipment
- Mechanical build/fixes
- Plumbing build/fixes
- Simple electrical wiring
- Sensor replacement and calibration
- Chemical cleanup (acids/bases, non-hazardous salts)
- Operate test and related equipment following directions from engineers.
- Monitor tests, records data, and summarizes/reports for engineers as directed.
- Install and operate electronic and hydraulic instrumentation for generating test data.
- Provide general support of operations to other work groups based on level of experience.
- Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, and a safe working environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience working in a developmental lab, mechanical assembly, or repair/maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Experience working with lab instrumentation and data acquisition.
- Experience working from standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Experience working with chemicals.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
