Data Governance Analyst

Overview:

Our client will be hiring a Data Governance Analyst with knowledge of the Collibra Data Governance tool for a 6 month Contract.

This position can be 100% REMOTE (U.S. only) with a preference for some onsite work in Oregon.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with stakeholders to create data quality requirements and guardrail rules, guide processes to achieve compliance
• Validate and monitor the level of data quality
• Lead efforts to establish data quality metrics, monitoring, and reporting.
• Provide expertise to author Data Quality polices, auditable standards, and processes.
• Establish and manage process on data quality root cause identification and issue resolution.
• Consult with the business to author metadata and guide process to document the meaning of data and achieve compliance with policies and standards.
• Provide context and guidance enterprise metadata management practices.
• Work with technical stewards to document the technical metadata
• Provide expertise with data classification
• Determine the retention, archival, and disposal requirements of data
• Translate regulatory rules into data policies and standards
• Partner with Security on data security requirements
• Establish guidelines on data usage to ensure data privacy controls are enforced.
• Serving as a Liaison with Business Owners/Lead Business Data Stewards
• Provide education and adoption of data management and governance practice to drive culture change.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 5+ years of experience in data governance and data management implementations.

• Experience leading data governance, management, quality, and stewardship programs.
• Good understanding with DAMA/DMBOK Frameworks.
• Experience with Collibra Data Governance tool is highly preferred.
